The Manager – Procurement & Inventory is responsible for overseeing all procurement activities and inventory management. The role leads a team to understand the business needs and business relationships in play when we interact with suppliers. The team will understand the internal business processes which are being supported. The team will have well defined capabilities at different levels. Tools such as pricing agreements and ERP data will be used effectively as the team effectively and efficiently keeps the flow of needed goods and services coming into CSI.
The team will be an effective custodian of supplier relationships which serve to grant best terms, best service, and general favor to CSI.
Key responsibilities include leading strategic procurement initiatives, managing supplier negotiations, maintaining supplier partnerships, and ensuring competitive pricing and favorable terms. Additionally, the role evaluates and implements inventory management and planning strategies that maximize efficient fulfillment, drive customer value, and enhance overall organizational responsiveness. This role proactively manages risks and maintains a forward-focused perspective to ensure staffing and resources are aligned with future demand while optimizing daily operational efficiency.
This role ensures appropriate inventory levels are maintained for both stocked items and direct-to-job purchases.

Salary: $100,000-$125,000 annually
Primary Functions (this is not an all-inclusive list)
- Monitor and challenge the commercial aspects/terms associated with the purchasing and procurement of goods or services from a vendor
- Supervise and assist with obtaining bids/quotes from established and/or new vendors
- Administer and enforce corporate specifications for raw materials and rendered services to ensure accuracy/consistency of goods supplied
- Oversee vendor performance KIs and continuous improvement strategy to ensure success.
- Govern and control supplementary purchasing activities that are executed by other departments
- Evaluate and facilitate materials management strategies, including inventory control measures which support the vision as well as the short and long term goals of the company
- Coordinate and execute material requirements planning through assessment and administration of forecasting strategies while considering potential in-house production capacity and performance
- Govern and maintain all aspects of vendor relations as they pertain to the marketability and application of the product and/or services rendered
- Organize and substantiate the addition of existence of qualified vendors
Management
- Ensure work environment is consistent with Mission, Vision and Goals of CSI and compliant with all federal, state and local laws and regulations
- Assist with or conduct performance management of applicable staff
- Communicate frequently, openly and honestly with other managers and supervisors. Participate in regular training to improve technical and managerial skills
