Estimator/Project Manager, Self-Performed Concrete

We seek a hybrid role blending preconstruction estimating and on‑site project execution. You will develop accurate estimates, manage budgets and schedules, and guide concrete work from concept to completion.

• Estimating
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for all self‑performed concrete scopes—labor, materials, equipment.
  • Review plans, specifications and bid documents to determine scope and constructability.
  • Perform quantity take‑offs, validate productivity rates, and incorporate field feedback into pricing.
  • Participate in pre‑bid meetings, site visits and bid reviews.
  • Solicit vendor quotes and ensure scope completeness.
  • Support the transition from estimate to field execution, ensuring a clear hand‑off to project teams.
• Project Management
  • Lead self‑performed concrete projects from planning through close‑out, serving as the main contact for clients, vendors and field personnel.
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules and work plans to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with superintendents, foremen and field teams to align scope, productivity and quality.
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment; manage change orders and cost reporting.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and uphold KCI’s standards of quality and integrity.
  • Maintain consistent communication and documentation to support project success.

• Organized, proactive and able to balance multiple priorities from the bid room to the job site.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
• 5+ years of estimating and/or project management experience in self‑performed concrete work.
• Strong understanding of concrete mixes, crew production rates, equipment utilization and material costs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with HCSS Heavy Bid, Win Est or scheduling software a plus.
• Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability and teamwork.
