We are looking for an Inspector for our Infrastructure team!
Responsibilities- Deliver the OWN Experience every day by focusing on what drives our success—Clients, OWNers, Safety, Quality, and Financial Health.
- Conduct thorough on-site inspections of infrastructure projects, assessing compliance with design specifications, construction standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to gain a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and objectives.
- Perform measurements, tests, and computations as necessary to accurately assess project progress and compliance.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting inspection findings, including non-compliance issues and recommendations for corrective action.
- Provide technical assistance and support to contractors and other stakeholders, addressing construction issues and ensuring adherence to project requirements.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, including materials, shop drawings, and equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Attend project meetings, including pre-construction and progress meetings, actively contributing with your expertise and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and timely completion.
- Utilize computer applications, including Microsoft Office and other relevant software, to accurately record inspection data and generate reports.
- Other duties as assigned
- 3+ years of experience in private land development construction inspection or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards applicable to private land development projects.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations governing construction and development activities.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey inspection findings and recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling accurate assessment of project compliance and identification of corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a project team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant computer programs to record and report inspection data.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
