Ozarks First in Springfield, MO is hiring a Digital Content Reporter / MMJ focused on creating engaging local digital stories for , CTV, social media, and broadcast.

This role requires a digitally savvy, self‑starter who is passionate about storytelling and tech, with the ability to craft headlines, use data for audience insight, and produce multimedia content.

• Deliver multiple original stories for the website each day covering a wide range of topics.
• Write enterprise‑level stories that resonate across digital, streaming, and social media platforms.
• Produce live reports when needed with confidence and clarity.
• Create clear, concise, engaging content tailored to each platform.
• Build a network of sources to keep Ozarks First ahead of competitors.
• Collaborate with the news team to find angles that resonate in the community.
• Understand story types that drive web traffic.
• Shoot photos, video, and sound to tell stories in multiple ways.
• Interact frequently with viewers/users on social media to build engagement and brand.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience creating digital content.
• Knowledge of AP style and Word Press.
• Strong collaborator and communicator.
• Self‑motivated and competitive.
• Ensure all content meets Ozarks First/Nexstar journalistic integrity and production quality standards.
• Work on special projects and other duties as assigned, including community service initiatives.
• Fluency in English.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
