This role is designed for individuals with little to no dental experience to join a world-class organization with comprehensive on-the-job training and opportunities for future growth. You will work side by side with hygiene providers to deliver excellent patient care.
Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide appropriate education throughout treatment.
- Conduct a thorough review of the patient’s health history to provide quality care.
- Provide superior assistance to supported hygienists during a wide variety of procedures in accordance with state dental practice acts.
- Assist with setting up rooms for hygiene visits, including stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record keeping.
- Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and follow OSHA & CDC recommendations.
- Partner with providers and the team to follow office systems and maximize office workflow.
- On-the-job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.
- Ability to train with no experience required.
- Open, positive, and mentally flexible attitude.
- Some dental exposure preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
- Exposure to Dentrix and the iTero.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Team player; able to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- The position will have access to minimum PHI necessary for performing job-related functions; regular HIPAA training will be required and data safeguards must be maintained.

The Role
- Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, sustain patient comfort, and provide education throughout treatment.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure readiness for hygiene visits; maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
- Assist with hygiene procedures as directed by the providers and ensure efficient workflow.
- Ability to perform essential duties with or without reasonable accommodation; reasonable accommodations may enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds occasionally.
- Availability to attend virtual or in-person training sessions periodically.
- A tuberculosis (TB) test is required for all new hires in dental office positions (not applicable in FL & TN).
