An established health system in Springfield, Missouri is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join a thriving, hospital-employed group. This is a level I trauma and tertiary referral center, serving patients across Missouri and Arkansas, and is recognized as one of the busiest EDs in the Midwest. Emergency Department Highlights: 886-bed tertiary care facility serving as a trauma and referral center for four states 80,000+ annual ED visits 80-bed emergency department, plus an 11-bed pediatric emergency department supported by most pediatric specialties 13 physician shifts per day; 9-hour shifts (7 hours patient care, 2 hours wrap-up for reliable end times) Full access to ED imaging including Sonosite ultrasound, MRI, and CT EPIC EMR and Microsoft DAX for streamlined documentation Over 600 employed physicians across all specialties, including comprehensive support from:
Neurology/stroke team Trauma/general/orthopedic surgery Anesthesiology Critical care OB hospitalists Additional lower-volume shifts available at regional locations for a change of pace Recognized in the top 5% nationally for clinical excellence by Health grades Leapfrog Grade A for safety and quality
