Pediatric Surgeon

We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Surgeon for a 182-day assignment in Missouri. This role involves a schedule of Monday through Friday clinic and call, complemented by 24-hour weekend call, with a requirement of 7-14 shifts per month. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive pediatric surgery call coverage, encompassing general surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, trauma cases, and a variety of specialized pediatric surgical interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric surgery call coverage, including general surgery and laparoscopic procedures
• Manage trauma cases
• Perform laparoscopic procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
• Execute vascular surgery, specifically abdominal aneurysm repair
• Address pediatric conditions including atresias (esophageal, intestinal, biliary)
• Correct abdominal wall defects like gastroschisis and umbilical defects such as hernia and omphalocele
• Repair diaphragmatic hernia and imperforate anus
• Perform PDA ligation
• Manage 3-5 surgical cases in the morning and see 6 clinic patients in the afternoon
