Key Responsibilities- Complete complex mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
- Collect and assemble data, develop estimates, and generate systems and bid analysis.
- Develop budgetary M/E estimates and participate in preconstruction analysis.
- Manage mechanical and electrical scopes during bidding, including system analysis and value engineering.
- Coordinate sequencing requirements and provide scheduling input.
- Conduct inspections, develop shop drawing and commissioning plans, and verify functional testing.
- Lead and mentor junior team members.
- Promote diversity and inclusion and adhere to JE Dunn’s non‑discrimination policies.
- Review options, recommend best systems, and provide value engineering suggestions.
- Develop sequencing solutions and inject scheduling input into projects.
- Review design documents for potential quality issues and contribute to quality control programs.
- Develop pre‑functional checklists, functional testing procedures, and commission plans.
- Generate and issue commissioning plans for approval.
- Verify deficiencies are corrected and submit commissioning documentation to owners.
- Create M/E tools and innovative solutions to improve processes.
- Accurate, timely work production.
- Strong verbal and written communication (intermediate).
- Proficiency in MS Office (intermediate).
- Ability to read and understand plans, drawings, specifications.
- Familiarity with JE Dunn construction M/E tools and software.
- Understanding of construction management methods.
- Team collaboration and relationship building.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering (required).
- Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- 5+ years of construction and/or engineering experience (preferred).
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license required.
