Position Overview

We are seeking a Design Engineer II to join a dynamic engineering team supporting high-impact manufacturing and product development initiatives. This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer with a strong foundation in mechanical design, CAD modeling, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of products and systems used in industrial and consumer applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine mechanical designs using CAD software (Solid Works, Creo, or equivalent).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality to ensure design feasibility and performance.
  • Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and FMEA to ensure robust product development.
  • Support prototype development and testing, interpreting results to guide design improvements.
  • Maintain documentation and design records in accordance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing projects.
  • Provide technical support for production processes and troubleshoot design-related issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical design or product development.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and design documentation.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
  • Experience with design validation, testing, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
