Position: Public Health Program Associate (4405082)

Public Health Program Associate (4405082)

Job Location: 149 Park Central Square, Suite 116, Springfield, MO 65806.

This position will serve as a Facilitator for the Bureau of Special Health Care Needs (SHCN) Healthy Children and Youth and Medically Fragile Adult Waiver Programs. The role looks for a team player with a keen eye for detail who wants to make a positive impact for individuals with special health care needs and their families. Work hours are 8 am – 5 pm, Monday‑Friday;

flex schedules may be considered.

Salary: Base pay rate; any applicable pay differential will be added to total compensation.

Responsibilities
  • Review documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records for program implementation and management, gather and provide data, prepare reports relative to program activities.
  • Provide training, guidance and technical assistance to program partners and SHCN staff.
  • Use word processing, spreadsheets, databases and other program‑related computer applications necessary to meet program goals.
  • Assist with intake of new referrals, determine participant eligibility for program services, program enrollment, and initiate the process to assess for services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (applicable work experience may be considered as a substitution).
  • Attention to detail, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work closely and collaboratively with SHCN staff, health care providers and others involved in program implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to explain, demonstrate and train program guidelines and technical processes.
  • Work independently, multitask and demonstrate superior initiative.
  • Positive attitude, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work well with others.
