Job OverviewThe Behavior Technician Supervisor (BTS) serves as the bridge between Behavior Support Technicians (BSTs) and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Individual Supported Living (ISL) homes. You will mentor BSTs and support individuals in maximizing their potential through daily living skills, therapeutic activities, and behavior management.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Provide training and support to individuals in daily life skills such as cooking, cleaning, hygiene, purchasing groceries, food preparation, medication administration, behavioral care, community participation, and management of personal funds.
- Assist the Program Supervisor with implementing personal plans, communicating directives, maintaining records and reports, and contributing to a therapeutic environment.
- Mentor and supervise BSTs, ensuring quality care and clinical standards.
- Respond to crises and execute prevention strategies as per Arc policy.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, order necessary items, and ensure compliance with medication protocols.
- Conduct documentation, behavioral observations, incident reports, and progress monitoring.
- Assist with staff orientation and training, fostering a safe and supportive environment.
- Coordinate community involvement and mobility opportunities for clients.
- Mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use during client activities.
- Potential for annual wage increases based on performance.

- Paid initial and ongoing training certifications (CPR/First Aid, MANDT verbal and physical de‑escalation, Paraclete, Level One Med Aide, etc.).
- Diploma from an accredited high school or equivalent.
- Minimum six months experience providing direct care, treatment, and habilitation in the human service field.
- Experience with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or behavior disorders is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Ability to supervise staff, complete documentation, and adhere to agency policies.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Completion of required trainings: CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, MANDT System Workshop, and OSHA/Abuse & Neglect/Electronic Documentation.
- Knowledge of basic non‑professional techniques for caring, treating, and habilitating individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of advanced behavior support techniques and principles of supervision.
- Ability to administer medications, conduct assessments, and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to adapt to variable schedules, supervise staff, and respond to emergencies.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
- Physical ability to stand, stoop, lift up to 50 lb., and handleింగ్ items.
