Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing poverty and strengthening communities by providing services and support to individuals and families throughout the Ozarks.
Position OverviewThe HR Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department and agency employees. This position helps maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, process employment-related changes, support benefits and unemployment administration, and assist with agency-wide HR initiatives. The role works closely with employees, supervisors, managers, and other departments and requires strong organization, attention to detail, technological skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate employee information, personnel records, electronic files, and HR documentation.
- Process employee changes including reassignments, reclassifications, pay changes, labor allocations, and other employment updates.
- Support employee benefits administration, including new hire enrollments and qualifying life events.
- Assist with unemployment administration, employment verifications, FCSR processing, and other employment-related processes.
- Maintain HR systems, spreadsheets, tracking reports, and program information, including support for Child Plus.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, agency recognition activities, internal communications, and administrative projects.
- Provide administrative support for HR department initiatives and agency-wide processes.
- Provide backup front desk support, including answering phones, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, payroll, benefits, and other sensitive information.
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to two years of administrative, Human Resources, payroll, benefits, or related office experience preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Experience with HRIS, databases, spreadsheets, or electronic recordkeeping systems.
- Experience working in a professional office environment.
- Experience supporting Human Resources or other administrative functions.
