Senior COMSEC Systems Integrator - CMCS SME

Salary: $170, per year

• 9+ years of experience in software, databases, or a related field.
• Subject-matter expertise in CMCS.
• Experience with NIST 800-53 and security control life cycles.
• Demonstrated experience supporting government agencies, customers, or contracts in federal environments, including the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, federal civilian agencies, or military organizations. Experience on the same or a similar contract, with familiarity with the customer environment and operational needs, is highly desirable.
• Security+ certification meeting DoD 8570 requirements, or equivalent.
• CISSP or a similar certification within six months of hire.
• Active Top Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Preferred:
  Experience with COMSEC accountability systems and CARDS, iApp, CMCS, or similar controlled-accountability systems.
• Preferred:
  Experience modernizing legacy applications and databases.

  Federal or national-security system integration experience.

• Serve as a senior CMCS subject-matter expert.
• Integrate COMSEC applications, databases, interfaces, and supporting infrastructure.
• Support software and database modernization.
• Analyze application interfaces, data flows, dependencies, and integration needs.
• Support system design, testing, deployment, migration, implementation, and sustainment.
• Troubleshoot complex software and database integration issues.
• Coordinate work across developers, database specialists, systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and operations teams.
• Align integration activities with applicable NIST standards and security-control requirements.
• Support technical documentation and configuration management.
• Help modernize legacy COMSEC systems and accountability capabilities.

We are collaborating with hackajob to recruit a Senior COMSEC Systems Integrator - CMCS SME for our Department of State COMSEC IT Services contract. This senior technical role supports integration, modernization, sustainment, and interoperability of COMSEC software, databases, accountability systems, and related interfaces. The position is based onsite in the DMV area, with a low-noise office environment and a Monday-Friday day shift;

occasional evening or weekend work may be needed to meet program and contract requirements. Travel is expected to be under 10%. The target salary range is $170,000-$215,000, with final compensation depending on qualifications, experience, contract parameters, and organizational needs.
