Underwriter, Insurance Analyst

The Renewal Underwriter will work on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities- Determine the acceptability, quality and profitability of existing business based on company underwriting guidelines and objectives within authority level
- Collect, maintain and analyze data in order to make informed underwriting decisions
- Manage assigned territory so that items such as renewals, endorsements, claim reviews and related transactions are completed accurately within accepted corporate time frames
- Treats all inquiries on a professional basis, providing timely, courteous and efficient customer service to agents, policyholders, team members and other departments
- Make recommendations to Senior Underwriter or Supervisor on selected risks beyond assigned authority level
- Address assigned workload within quality, productivity and service standards as established by the company underwriting guidelines
- Meet regularly with the broker/underwriting teams on strategy and follow-up
- Special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of work-related experience in P&C renewal underwriting process
- Participate in company organized, prescribed or designated insurance seminars and workshops on or off premises.
- Travel as needed.
The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
