  • Base Salary Range: $108‑145k (plus bonuses and stock options)
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
  • Prepare, review, edit, and negotiate customer‑facing technology transaction agreements including license agreements, SaaS agreements, EULAs, deconversion and termination agreements, customer merger agreements, assignment agreements, software customization agreements, and other customer‑impacting agreements.
  • Contribute to clause library and oversee agreement template updates to create resources usable by the legal department and leaders within the company.
  • Lead in‑person and virtual negotiation sessions with customers’ counsel.
  • Redline technology contracts and provide summary statements to customer counsel regarding the company’s position on contract segments.
  • Address legal issues that arise in day‑to‑day operations of the company, receiving guidance from experienced attorneys as needed.
  • Develop a breadth of legal knowledge and practical skills—legal writing, research, contract interpretation, negotiation, advocacy, effective client communication, and client relationship management.
  • Develop specialization in specific areas of law and a general understanding of the business operations of Jack Henry.
  • Work on moderate‑scope problems and routine assignments.
  • Handle simple legal matters with little to no instruction (e.g., legal research, routine document preparation, law and regulation interpretation).
  • Determine a course of action based on precedent and guidelines, modifying processes as required.
  • Increase legal knowledge through educational opportunities, industry publications, and mentorship.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need to Have:
  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Admitted to and in good standing with at least one state bar association.
  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience in technology transactions or commercial law.
  • Experience reviewing, drafting, or analyzing sales contracts.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time to other Jack Henry office locations, meeting sites, or customer locations. Overnight stays on occasion.
What Would Be Nice for You to Have:
  • In‑house experience for a technology company or large enterprise supporting commercial transactions, or experience in a sizable law firm supporting technology transactions.
  • Knowledge of the financial services and fintech industry.
  • Experience negotiating data privacy and data security terms in SaaS agreements.
  • Understanding of payment processing regulations.
  • Prior experience advising on matters related to intellectual property, artificial intelligence, data privacy, and/or financial regulations.
  • Experience interacting with and presenting to executive leaders and boards of directors.
  • Strong collaboration skills; ability to communicate effectively across cross‑functional teams, build consensus, and maintain strong relations.
  • Drive to take ownership of projects and tasks, often improving processes.
  • Openness to adapting practice in response to changing business goals and market realities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, multitask in fast‑paced environment, and drive strategic projects to successful delivery.
  • Experience negotiating complicated transactions with multiple decision makers.
  • Ability to quickly issue‑spot and prioritize risk and outcomes.
