CSI is looking to hire an analytical and people-oriented individual for our Manufacturing Engineer - Lead position. You will be responsible for driving efficiency, qualify and innovation across CSI's manufacturing operations.
This position will serve as a hands‑on leader, working closely with manufacturing teams on the floor to identify and prioritize improvements that deliver the greatest operational impact. This role will coordinate a small team of R&D and PLM engineers and designers to align resources to support manufacturing, distribution, marketing and service divisions.
This position is a balance of both office and shop floor responsibilities.

Salary:
Commensurate with experience.
- Lead and develop a new Manufacturing Engineering function at CSI, combining R&D and PLM resources into a unified team.
- Partner with production leaders to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities in manufacturing operations.
- Prioritize and execute projects that deliver the greatest impact on efficiency, throughput, and cost reduction.
- Champion the effective use of automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting complex equipment or process issues.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and designs.
- Support marketing, distribution, and service divisions with technical and process expertise as needed.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend process improvements.
- Implement lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other best practices to standardize and optimize processes.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track manufacturing efficiency and cost savings.
- Lead recruitment, training, and mentorship of manufacturing engineering staff as the team grows.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement across the department.
- Collaborate with upper management to define departmental strategies and goals.
- Build positive relationships with others and maintain a positive I‑10 approach.
- Promote safety as an important part of CSI’s culture and ensure safety policies and procedures are followed by all employees, including SOPs for safety and cyber security.
- Education/Training:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field required. - Advanced degree or professional certifications (Lean, Six Sigma) desired.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum 8‑10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with increasing responsibility.
- Proven success implementing process improvements in automated and repetitive manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing projects from cross‑functional teams or direct reports.
- Strong background in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Familiarity with CAD, ERP, and PLM systems; experience with robotics and automation equipment highly desired.
