Mon - Fri 2 PM - 10:30 PM, $17/hr with $1/hr differential.
Responsibilities- Disassembly and reassembly of air compressor components.
- Daily part changes outs for Sunnen hone machine.
- Use of calipers and bore gauges, power and manual tools (e.g., impact wrenches, drills, semi-automatic equipment; pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultrasonic washers).
- Piston/Cylinder assembly.
- Final assembly of locomotive air compressors (various models).
- Final assembly testing of completed locomotive air compressors.
- Properly filling out log sheets with before and after measurements.
- Fill in as back-up technician as needed.
- Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
- Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
- Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
- Must understand and support relevant KPIs, as defined in the goal tree.
- Technical Capacity
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Good mechanical skills
- Knowledge of shop use of measuring devices.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work EnvironmentThe employee will be exposed to shop floor conditions, including noise, heat, cold, dust/dirt, etc. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Required Education And Experience- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One to Two years of related experience
