Remanufacturing Technician - 1st Shift

Overview

Remanufacturing Technician 2 - 1st Shift at New York Air Brake.

• Disassembly and reassembly of air compressor components.
• Use of calipers and bore gauge, power and manual tools (e.g., impact wrenches, drills, semi-automatic equipment, pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultrasonic washers).
• Piston/Cylinder assembly.
• Final assembly of locomotive air compressors (various models).
• Final assembly testing of completed locomotive air compressors.
• Properly filling out log sheets with before and after measurements.
• Fill in as back-up technician as needed.
• Understand and comply with all quality and safety rules, guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Must understand and support all Quality, Product Safety, and Health/Safety/Environmental/Energy policies.
• Must understand and adhere to all relevant statutory or regulatory compliance obligations.
• Must understand, support and adhere to the Integrated Management System policies, procedures and instructions.
• Must understand and support relevant key performance indicators (KPIs), as defined in the goal tree.
