Job Overview
Ensures the smooth, accurate, and consistent flow of materials to and from the staging lanes to support production, receiving, and shipping operations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Buckhorn policies and OSHA standards.
- Maintains and utilizes all documentation required.
- Ensures all product transfers are performed properly and accurately to and from designated locations.
- Ensure timely removal/delivery of product to/from designated locations.
- Reports all incidents & accidents immediately to leadership.
- Participation in 5S program to ensure a clean and operational facility.
- Participation in cycle-counts as directed.
- Maintains inventory accuracy in assigned warehouse zone.
- Ensures consolidation principles are being practiced for effective warehousing.
- Safe operation of a forklift and various attachments.
- Escalate issues as needed to department leadership.
- Completes other duties as may be assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); required
- Previous warehouse and/or shipping experience; required
- Ability to communicate in a positive & clear way with team members and peers.
- Ability to accept change and adapt to organizational change and shifting priorities.
- Barcode and handheld scanner experience; preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, vendors or employees of our organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to do two mathematical operations to arrive at the solution.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram, or schedule form.
