Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical assembly operations; ensure safe, efficient, and effective uses of resources.
  • Coordinate with Management and Leadership teams in the standardization of processes and driving Lean initiatives such as workflow design, 5S and work instructions.
  • Plan, assign and provide clear direction to staff to achieve daily/weekly/monthly productivity targets. Evaluate causes of manufacturing problems and assist in resolving such problems.
  • Plan, schedule, and lead improvement projects aligned towards corporate initiatives.
  • Support and drive cross training objectives.
  • Guide, motivate, and discipline staff in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Proactively ensure the facility is a safe workplace for all employees and visitors.
  • Apply hourly/daily management by monitoring the production process and implementing improvements, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • 2 year degree in Operations is required, or equivalent experience in a production operations environment required.
  • 5+ years progressive and relevant management and supervision experience in a technical field is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment required.
  • Strong production management and supervisory experience in diverse manufacturing environment.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge in various PC applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and MRP/ERP.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing practices encompassing electro‑mechanical assembly.
  • Familiar with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and electromechanical product specifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical parts/assemblies, mechanisms, wiring, connectors, etc.
  • Strong background in assembly processes and manufacturing flow.
  • Ability to analytically make decisions and follow through on implementation.
  • Ability to motivate and provide team building skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot solve problems independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.
  • Clear understanding of 6S and Lean concepts and practices.
