Lead - Engines; Springfield MO

This position is only for employees currently working at CNH Reman in the Engines or Engine Disassembly department.
As a Production Working Lead, you will drive a culture of manufacturing excellence as a role model employee of your area. As required, you will assist in the training and onboarding of new employees. The Production Working Lead is to support and maintain a culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and productivity, in that order, by promoting employee involvement in continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assist production in meeting departmental goals in safety, quality, and productivity
• Assist in the training and onboarding of new employees
• Communicate effectively, be a team player, promote employee involvement
• Contribute to continuous improvement and develop and promote employee suggestions
• Ensure completion of responsibility sheets
• Help with production duties where needed
• Follow documented work instructions and suggest improvements as needed.
• Complete daily hoist inspection, daily pallet jack inspection, maintain good housekeeping practices
• Operate machines such as manual pallet jack, run dyno, press, telephone, computer, utilize various gauges, press, copy machine, fax machine, various air tools, Cleco machines, torque wrenches, air decay machine, power test blaster, staple gun, tape machine, smart bagger foam machine, ovens, and torch
• Utilize an assortment of hand tools such as hammer and wrench
• And others as required

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or HiSet (Formerly GED)
• Regular, predictable and reliable attendance
• Requiring hours of service that would average at least 30 hours of service per week (full time), overtime
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Ability to work with computers and software systems, must wear all personal protective equipment PPE
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead
• Must be able to climb, push, pull, lift up to 20 lbs. constantly, 21-40 lbs. occasionally, and 41-49 lbs. rarely
• Work in both climate controlled and non-climate controlled environments
• Work in both hearing conservation and non-hearing conservation environments

Preferred:

• Preferred 2 + years of experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment with at least 3 months in production
• Associate degree in related field
