Job Location:

Saint Louis, MO preferred, Springfield, MO if candidate has deep campaign management expertise. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required.

Hours:

40 hours per week, evening and weekend work will be required with frequent travel to STL, KC, and Springfield

BACKGROUND

In its final days of the 2025 legislative session, the Missouri Legislature passed HJR 73 now called Amendment 3, or A3— a legislatively-referred resolution asking voters to constitutionally ban healthcare for trans youth and undo the will of the people by re-banning abortion. PROMO joined partners in abortion and reproductive healthcare to form an executive committee to meaningfully bring to the table the voices of trans leaders and allies, the self-interest of trans Missourians, and the input of parents of trans kids.

The Amendment will go to voters in November 2026. A3 is a ban on healthcare for trans young people AND access to abortion — plain and simple. With this resolution, Missouri is the first state to send a constitutional amendment to the ballot that asks the voters to take away rights from trans youth and their families. This manipulative move is meant to create confusion and trick voters into re-banning abortion in Missouri, while doubling down on attacking transgender kids and families.

PROMO has been leading cutting-edge programming that has uniquely prepared us for this moment. Two years ago, we invested deeply in deep canvassing and narrative change projects, and have demonstrated our ability to run effective GOTV campaigns. In order to win at the ballot in 2026, we must massively scale that work, starting now. We can win in Missouri. And you can help us win in Missouri.

IMPACT STATEMENT:

PROMO’s Field Campaign Director is responsible for advancing PROMO’s mission and vision by executing on a comprehensive and detailed plan to build support for trans rights by hitting between 35,000 and 50,000 doors from March-September. The Director works in lock-step with our Field Team’s leadership development goals and volunteer deep canvass campaign, and PROMO’s Communication Team’s Narrative Change Strategy. Beginning September, this role will transition from c3 field organizing to c3 and c4 GOTV fieldwork.
