Director of Nursing

Perimeter Behavioral of Springfield is one of the premier behavioral health hospitals providing inpatient psychiatric treatment for children and teenagers. Responsibilities
  • Supervising all nursing staff.
  • Overseeing nursing budgets.
  • Reporting to higher‑management in the healthcare facility.
  • Maintaining high standards of care for all patients.
  • Managing patients’ data and medical records as confidential records.
  • Communicating with medical staff, patients, and family members about patient health.
  • Recruiting, training, and onboarding new nursing staff.
  • Implementing new procedures and training for nurses regarding performance improvement initiatives or revised policies.
  • Overseeing the therapeutic milieu.
  • Planning and implementing a nursing performance improvement program in conjunction with the medical director.
Qualifications
  • Active RN license and BLS certification.
  • Prefer a master’s degree in nursing with a background in mental health; a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
  • Healthcare management experience preferred.
  • At least five years of progressive acute‑care experience and five years of behavioral‑health experience, preferably with children or adolescents.
  • Proficiency in Joint Commission standards.
