Nurse Supervisor RN - Specialty; Exempt

Job Details:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of nursing staff, including operations and practice issues.
• Direct patient care functions such as assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation according to nursing standards.
• Provide professional nursing care in support of physicians, assist in patient treatment, and complete clinical paperwork.
• Uphold the Mercy Philosophy of caring, respect for human life, dignity, and Christian values.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, medications, patient education, and safety practices.
• Current, valid state RN license.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience.
• CPR certification.

Skills & Abilities:

• Assist and perform various medical treatments and procedures.
• Remain calm and effective in emergencies.
• Interpret and apply guidelines and policies.
• Communicate clearly and establish effective relationships.
• Basic computer skills or ability to learn.

Additional Information:

• Preferred supervisory experience and certifications.
