RN Critical Care Transport Assistant Nurse Manager

Springfield, MO.

Are you an RN with neonatal/pediatric critical care experience looking for a leadership role? This position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of transport registered nurses, their education, and clinical work.

  • 40-hour a week
  • Requires travel between rural hospitals in Springfield, MO and St. Louis
  • 3+ years of transport or critical care experience in Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, or Pediatric Emergency Department
  • 1+ year of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

Coordination of patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and statistical accumulation.

Responsibilities
  • Manages individuals, including hiring, training, assignment, performance evaluation, and professional development. Ensures productivity aligns with departmental goals.
  • Participates in development of departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets and adheres to those goals.
  • Provides and oversees patient care according to planned interventions with regard to their age and developmental needs. Documents care per policy.
  • Creates and implements collaborative care plans based on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Supports review of staff hours vs scheduled hours, approves daily payroll, reconciles time cards, tracks bonuses, and coordinates staff communication and meetings.
  • Determines staffing needs, assigns overtime, recommends annual increases, interviews staff for open positions, conducts performance reviews, drafts corrective actions, and follows up on disciplinary actions.
  • Manages staff productivity and overall operational goals; conducts performance evaluations and recommends improvements when needed.
Minimum Requirements Education
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree
