As a 26‑bed unit, we specialize in treating a wide range of complex conditions, including stroke, trauma, and neurosurgical cases. Our patient population ranges in age from 18 to 102, offering a broad spectrum of clinical experiences.

Provide basic patient care under direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties assigned. Obtain information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and report any changes in patient condition.
Job Summary – Apprentice ProgramFunctions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. While in the clinical learning environment, provide basic patient care under direction and supervision of a clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation may perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties within scope of practice as directed.
At the end of the training, a competency assessment will validate learning.

Job Requirements – Apprentice- Education: Preferred – High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: Preferred – Prior patient care or health‑care related experience
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; valuable time‑management; strong analytical/problem‑solving; flexibility and ability to work in a multi‑tasking environment; consistent and timely availability; conscientious, thorough, accurate, and reliable.
- Licensure/Certification: BLS must be obtained within 90 days
- Education: Preferred – High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience: Required – 3 months experience as nursing assistant in inpatient or long‑term care, EMT, or surgical technologist in past 3 years OR Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within past 3 years OR Completed “fundamentals of nursing” course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program OR Must have Missouri CNA license OR Must have MO CNA Appendix and MO CNA license obtained within 120 days of hire
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; valuable time‑management; strong analytical/problem‑solving; flexibility and ability to work in a multi‑tasking environment.
