American Traveler is hiring a Neurology/Tele RN for night shifts at a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring MO or compact RN license and tele experience.

• Work on a 32-bed Neurology/Tele unit treating neuro, med, and med-tele patients
• Patient ratios vary: 1:5-1:6 on days and 1:6-1:7 on nights, not guaranteed
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Uses telemetry monitors, lift equipment, IV pumps, and tube feeding pumps
• Charts in EPIC EMR
• Rotational floating required
• No on-call requirements
• Night shift staff orient on day shift and must be available the entire orientation week

• Active RN license eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri (Compact accepted)
• BLS certification from AHA required
• NIHSS certification required, may start without it but must obtain prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient tele experience required
• Experience and competence in drug titration required
• Neuro inpatient experience preferred
• No employment gaps exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients post-trauma, surgical intervention, and with medical comorbidities
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and evaluate care provided by other caregivers
• Work in a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center and Level 2 Stroke Center with Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center certification
• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required November 1 through April 1, with no declinations accepted
• Black scrubs required as part of dress code
• RTO must be made up during the assignment and cannot be taken during the first week
• Only one holiday RTO request allowed per assignment
• Local candidates accepted, though local candidates residing within 50 miles may be subject to local contract restrictions after 3 consecutive 13-week contracts
