Overview
The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is a key contributor within digital and TV station sales, driving revenue growth and meeting departmental objectives by expanding digital sales revenue and collaborating with sales executives and station leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market sales strategies and tactics that exceed personal and company revenue targets.
- Establish, maintain, and grow meaningful client relationships.
- Assist sales executives in generating new digital marketing services business and expanding existing client relationships.
- Monitor campaigns and provide recommendations to clients in partnership with Sales Executives.
- Create reports for presentation to existing clients alongside Sales Executives.
- Participate in corporate sales conference calls and events.
- Meet weekly with the GSM to review campaigns and revenue.
Requirements & Skills
- BA or BS in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing or media sales.
- Extensive knowledge of local digital marketing service offerings and effective client utilization.
- Motivated, enthusiastic, self‑starter who works effectively both independently and within a team.
- Effective communication and client presentation skills.
- Ability to interact with high‑level decision makers.
- Proficiency in executing organization‑wide collaboration through a consultative process.
- Excellent follow‑up, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Active contributor in sales meetings on digital marketing topics (e.g., best practice sharing, industry trends).
- Effective partner with the sales team to generate digital revenue.
