Overview

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) is a key contributor within digital and TV station sales, driving revenue growth and meeting departmental objectives by expanding digital sales revenue and collaborating with sales executives and station leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market sales strategies and tactics that exceed personal and company revenue targets.
  • Establish, maintain, and grow meaningful client relationships.
  • Assist sales executives in generating new digital marketing services business and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Monitor campaigns and provide recommendations to clients in partnership with Sales Executives.
  • Create reports for presentation to existing clients alongside Sales Executives.
  • Participate in corporate sales conference calls and events.
  • Meet weekly with the GSM to review campaigns and revenue.

Requirements & Skills

  • BA or BS in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or Communications preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing or media sales.
  • Extensive knowledge of local digital marketing service offerings and effective client utilization.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic, self‑starter who works effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Effective communication and client presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact with high‑level decision makers.
  • Proficiency in executing organization‑wide collaboration through a consultative process.
  • Excellent follow‑up, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Active contributor in sales meetings on digital marketing topics (e.g., best practice sharing, industry trends).
  • Effective partner with the sales team to generate digital revenue.
