Core Requirements
- Must have a Class A commercial driver’s license, with no automatic or manual restriction.
- Minimum Age: 21, as per Federal D.O.T. regulations
- Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical and Drug Screen
Hours and days off may vary (this is a relief driver position), routes start between Midnight and 3:00PM. Must have open availability. Our weekly guarantee while you are training on routes is $954( before taxes; plus, commission) Once you have successfully learned a route and can run it on your own you will go to full pay which is a weekly guarantee of $1080( before taxes;
plus, commission).
Past route sales experience and a good driving record preferred
Job Responsibilities- Drive truck over established route to deliver and sell products or render services of the dairy industry to customer’s place of business.
- Follow all Department of Transportation regulations.
- Collect money from customers, make change, and record transactions on customer receipt.
- Write customer orders and instructions; record sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record; call prospective customers to solicit new business; prepare order forms and sales contracts; inform regular customers of new products or services; listen to and resolve service complaints.
- Climb, crawl, and walk in an upright as well as a bent position to facilitate the following tasks:
- Load and unload product at destination.
- Place stock on shelves or racks.
- Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays.
- Issue sales promotion materials to customers.
- Collect or pick up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise.
- Stack and unstack items weighing 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back; drag stacks of milk weighing approximately 240 pounds throughout the shift.
- Load and unload truck and carry merchandise.
- Work in very hot (100+°F) and very cool (less than 32°F) environments throughout the year.
- Work outside most of the time, regardless of the conditions.
- Keep the inside of the truck clean, perform routine maintenance on truck, and drive in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.
