Form Carpenter

Overview

This position is for work to be performed in the 4-state area (MO/KS/OK/AR) and beyond, according to the needs of Branco.

A Form Carpenter utilizes blueprints to determine proper dimensions, shapes, and designs of form structures. The form carpenter uses precise measurements to cut and assemble 2x material, plywood or steel/aluminum modular panels to the necessary size required to form footings, walls, or slab edges. Symons forms and gang forming experience a plus.

• Construct, erect, install concrete forms
• Measure and mark lines on forms to the proper grade
• Verify trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level or transit
• Install blockouts, embedded angles, plates, bolts, and other anchors to formwork
• Understand, interpret, and troubleshoot blueprints, sketches, or building plans
• Provide a comprehensive list of forming materials and hardware required for the task at hand

• Consistent dependability (must have good attendance)
• Reliable transportation for travel up to 75 miles to job site
• Lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds, and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance
• Stamina to walk, stoop, kneel, reach, climb and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
• Experience with Symons/steel/aluminum concrete forming systems
• Experience placing and stripping forms as mentioned above
• Carry own tools (tool belt, hammer, square, level, chalk line, pry bar, etc)
• Control mixer trucks, pace, and correct concrete quantities
• Ability to read and interpret drawings

• Concrete Form Carpentry: 1 year

• High school diploma (GED)

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (will train)
