MoDOT will bring candidates onto the team as entry‑level or senior level based on your skills and experience. This opening is a part‑time position with up to 1,040 hours per year. The position is not benefits‑eligible and will work Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am – 4:30 pm until 1,040 total hours have been worked.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance on building interiors, such as replacing light bulbs, switches and fuses; repair windows and blinds; install floor and ceiling tile.
- Perform facility renovation, repair, and maintenance functions such as pouring and finishing concrete, roofing, painting and plastering, and installing carpet, sheetrock, and doors.
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems.
- Repair, move, and assemble file cabinets and furniture.
- Load and unload freight and deliver to appropriate office.
- Job requires heavy physical exertion and effort.
- Job requires exposure to moderately adverse and undesirable environmental conditions.
- Job may require operation of vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials.
- Annual hours restricted to 1,040 hours worked.
- High School Diploma or GED/HiSET.
- Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.
