Internal - Team Leader - Public Works

The City of Springfield is currently seeking Team Leaders to join the Street Operations of Public Works! In this role, you will be responsible for directing, and routinely participate, in the work of the our Utility Cuts, Sidewalks, Street Maintenance, and Bridge and Waterways crews.

The Street Maintenance Program maintains the public streets and grounds of Springfield in the best possible condition, free from defects and safety hazards, while providing the most cost-effective maintenance techniques for all city streets.

• A minimum of three years experience in construction, repair, or maintenance in stormwater/water quality infrastructure or comparable areas of responsibility, or in asphalt work and traffic controls;

• At least one year of experience at the Equipment Operator II, Craftsworker, or equivalent level of responsibility;
• Experience must be commensurate with appropriate program area for current vacancy;

• Experience working in our Street/sidewalk Maintenance or Utility Cuts crews.

• Must obtain and maintain a Class A CDL and appropriate endorsements.
