We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Financial Crimes Defender R&D team. The team builds cloud‑native containerized microservices and web applications that power a mission‑critical fraud detection platform. The Engineer will design, develop, test, and support back‑end services and web applications, collaborating with multiple teams and driving best practices across the organization.
Responsibilities- Perform and sometimes lead system analysis and programming activities, delivering high‑quality software into production.
- Provide technical and engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until retirement.
- Develop, test, and review applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
- Use best practices and standard guidance to create and modify code.
- Consider how code changes affect end users and internal teams; review code from junior team members when required.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure timely delivery of high‑quality products.
- Work across teams on projects, leading when necessary.
- Manage critical tasks independently, setting and updating expectations on scope and timelines.
- Participate in team meetings and cross‑functional discussions.
- Create required technical documentation.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions.
- Adhere to departmental and corporate standards; participate in definition and documentation of standards.
- Lead unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability, security, and performance.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Contribute to product architecture as needed.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in .NET / C# software development.
- Demonstrated experience with user interface technologies (Type Script, Angular, React
JS). - Experience building RESTful APIs.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL Server, Postgres, Spanner).
- Experience with Azure or GCP.
- Experience in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience building cloud‑native APIs.
- Experience with Git Hub / Azure Dev Ops GIT.
- Experience with CI/CD using Git Hub Actions or Azure Dev Ops pipelines.
