Position Summary:

The Security & Dispatch Associate will assist with a variety of duties. The person occupying this person may interact with Leadership, office, product, drivers, systems, and clients to track, inspect, and record shipments in an accurate and professional manner. The person occupying this position will also be responsible for directing traffic and drivers. A Security & Dispatch Associate must be attentive to the activity going on around the property as well as the handling of checking in trucks.

This person also must have basic computer and clerical skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Help direct traffic, communicate with truck drivers, and ensure best use of staged truck parking
• Check in drivers and coordinate related activities and communication to ensure they get to the correct buildings.
• Work with the buildings to coordinate loads and schedules
• Monitors properties by camera and make security rounds throughout the property
• Ability to multi-task (operate gates, answer phones, watch cameras)
• Monitor and alert drivers and tenants of dangerous conditions
• Ability to de-escalate potentially difficult situations
• Ability to solve problems to help drivers get to their locations

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and multi-task
• Ability to enter data and operate software on computer

Education and Experience:

• Required:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred:
    Three years’ experience in related field
  • Valid driver’s license
