Role Overview - AR Specialist
The AR Specialist is responsible for customer invoicing, collections, and account resolution to support cash flow objectives and improve accounts receivable performance. This role partners with customers and internal teams to resolve payment issues, reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), and ensure accurate payment application.
Key Responsibilities of AR Specialist- Manage customer invoicing, collections, and outstanding account balances.
- The AR Specialist will support cash flow analysis and accounts receivable reporting.
- Proactively follow up on overdue payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Partner with customers and internal teams to address payment issues and improve collections performance.
- Prepare customer prepayment invoices and track the application of prepayments to sales orders.
- The AR Specialist will monitor AR aging and identify opportunities to reduce DSO.
- The AR Specialist must have previous experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or collections.
- Hands-on experience with complex ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is required.
- Strong understanding of invoicing, collections, and payment application processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
