Instructional Faculty, Accounting
Location:
- Clark State College
- Springfield, Ohio
A full‑time, 9‑month instructional faculty position in Accounting is available beginning August 17, 2026. The role requires an instructor who can deliver both on‑ground and online course content, develop curriculum, advise students, and participate in college initiatives.
Qualifications- Master’s degree in Accounting preferred; an MBA or similar degree with 18 credit hours in Accounting required.
- Previous collegiate‑level teaching experience preferred.
- Expertise in taxation and cost accounting strongly preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and technology skills; ability to work in teams; flexibility to teach day or evening hours and at multiple campus locations (Springfield, Beavercreek, Xenia, Bellefontaine).
- Teach accounting courses in a learner‑centered environment, using active learning strategies and technology.
- Develop and update course syllabi and curriculum materials.
- Advising students and assessing student learning.
- Maintain relationships with industry partners and participate in college‑wide initiatives.
- Participate in scheduled institutional meetings, program accreditation, and curriculum development.
- Serve on at least one faculty or all‑college committee annually.
- Assist in articulating courses and programs with secondary and post‑secondary institutions.
- Participate in scheduled institutional meetings and activities.
- Participate in program and college accreditation, curriculum development, and program assessment.
- Assist in the formulation of school objectives and goals.
- Serve on at least one faculty or all‑college committee annually after the first year of hire.
- Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in response to student and institutional need.
- Participate in student and/or community activities that foster goodwill and promote the mission of the College.
- Assist in the articulation of courses and programs with secondary and post‑secondary institutions.
- Maintain collegial relationships with other college personnel.
