A growing manufacturing firm is seeking a technically adept professional with strong interpersonal skills to manage strategic client accounts and support business development efforts within the high-performance engineering and manufacturing sectors. This role involves close coordination with internal teams and external partners to deliver tailored technical solutions that meet complex client needs.
Position Overview
The selected candidate will be responsible for cultivating new opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships, and translating customer requirements into actionable proposals. The role is well-suited for individuals with both technical fluency and a knack for consultative selling in technically demanding industries.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead account development activities with an emphasis on revenue growth and client retention.
- Act as a strategic advisor by identifying customer goals, operational challenges, and industry trends.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments—including engineering, production, finance, and project teams—to ensure successful delivery of custom solutions.
- Prepare compelling proposals and maintain project alignment with client expectations and internal timelines.
- Track project milestones and manage CRM or internal tracking systems to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (such as Mechanical or Industrial Engineering) preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years in a technical sales, business development, or account management role in a B2B industrial setting.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex sales cycles and delivering tailored technical proposals.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for various stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with engineering design tools (e.g., CAD platforms) is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%, including occasional international assignments.
