Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP/CCC)

Full-time | Aventura at Oakwood Village

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in adult and geriatric populations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize resident outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and social work.
  • Document all services provided in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Educate residents, family members, and staff on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
  • Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to discharge planning when appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current SLP license in the state of Ohio
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred
  • Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care setting preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Compassionate, patient-centered, and team-oriented.
