Role Overview

We are seeking a Material Handler to perform day‑to‑day shipping and receiving activities, ensuring the smooth and timely flow of materials to internal and external customers.

Essentials Function
  • Operate forklift to facilitate movement of goods into and out of the facility.
  • Process incoming goods by verifying quantities against purchase orders or invoices; perform high level inspections for serviceability and execute applicable receipt procedures.
  • Conduct repetitive assembly of Silfex products into complete packages per work instructions.
  • Transfer incoming goods to originators promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory via ERP system transactions.
  • Liaise with manufacturing and support functions to ensure supplies are appropriate.
  • Keep the area clean and maintain a safe environment through routine housekeeping.
  • Record daily productivity manually or electronically.
  • Maintain records to comply with government regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Shift

B Shift: 6am – 6pm

Physical Demands

The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands for detailed tasks, reach, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Vision requirements include near, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and wet or humid conditions may occur.

Noise level is moderate.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to assess drawings and specifications for assembling parts and for proper fit.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Basic computer skills (hardware, software, internet, email, word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Detail‑oriented, safety‑mindful, and quality‑focused.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Capable of adapting quickly to changing pace.
  • Can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to wear a respirator and meet OSHA respirator compliance obligations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional forklift or powered industrial vehicle certification.
  • Prior warehousing/material handling experience.
  • Experience with data entry into an ERP system.
