Looking for a hands-on manufacturing position with a consistent first-shift schedule? A leading Springfield-area metal processing facility is seeking a dependable Machine Operator to operate slitting, cut-to-length, and blanking equipment while maintaining quality and production standards.
Schedule- Monday-Thursday
- 5:30 AM - 1:45 PM
- Full-Time
- $19.50 per hour
- Operate slitting, cut-to-length, and blanking machinery
- Cut and process metal materials to customer specifications
- Verify dimensions and inspect product quality throughout production
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production instructions
- Convert and work with fractions, decimals, and measurements
- Perform equipment inspections and basic machine maintenance
- Maintain efficient production flow while meeting quality standards
- Follow all safety and manufacturing procedures
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous machine operation, metal fabrication, slitting, blanking, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong math skills, including fractions and decimals
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Stand for extended periods
- Lift, move, and handle metal materials
- Frequent bending, reaching, and material handling
- Work safely around industrial machinery in a fast-paced environment
$19.50/hour starting pay
