Who We Are:
The Springfield City School District, home to The John Legend Theatre, is seekinga Cook Helper/Cashier (5hpd) at Springfield High Schoolfor the  school year. We are a nationally ranked Division I District serving approximately 7,500 Pre-K through grade 12 students, in a vibrant learning community of 17 state of the art buildings in west-central Ohio. • Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Have experience in a volume production kitchen environment (preferred)
• Be flexible in your work schedule and be willing to attend/participate in professional development sessions
• Be willing to serve on teams
• Have the ability to relate to students with diverse backgrounds
• Demonstrate enthusiasm in your role

• Take direction from the Head Cook in the assigned kitchen
• Prepare food for the school utilizing standard operating procedures that have been developed by the Food and Nutrition Department to safely and nutritiously feed the students and staff of the Springfield City School District
• Adhereto the cashier standards of operations, reporting and maintenance
• Followthe systems that are utilized to maintain compliance with all regulatory agency requirements
• Operate all equipment according to the standard operating procedure for safety and efficiency
• Serveas a contact at the assigned school for issues that may arise. Reportall issues to the Head Cook within a timely manner.
• Help prepare a monthly inventory when needed, under the supervision of the Head Cook
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork as required
• Helpto ensure the safe and accurate receiving, storage, rotation, and disposition of all food and supplies
• Work as a cashier on a regular basis, or when needed

As a contracted employee, this position works 5hours per day, 188 days per contracted year.
Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 2:00pm or as assigned
Starting salary is $18.68per hour
