Position Overview

Keep Our Springfield Assembly Plant Flowing Smoothly! Plumber & Steamfitter Needed  offer a $1,000 sign‑on bonus (less applicable taxes) for newly hired skilled trades positions.

Earn $36.42 per hour + 6% shift differential
* and benefits beginning on day one!

• Installation and repair of all factory steam and pipe fitting systems, plumbing equipment, and fixtures.
• Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing pneumatic systems, including air logic, pumps, paint delivery systems, and more.
• Work to drawings, sketches, and instructions for major plumbing and steamfitting tasks such as toilets, wash basins, drains, and waste pipes.
• Select and calculate appropriate material and sizes for each job based on application and trade standards.
• Use trade tools and machines such as pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, pipe dies, and pipe threaders.
• Maintain records for projects and repairs, keep a clean and orderly workspace, and perform related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Journeyman certification in plumbing and steamfitting OR a minimum of 8 years of experience as a plumber‑steamfitter.
• Legally authorized to be employed in the United States (U.S. Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee). We do not anticipate providing employment‑related work sponsorship for this position.
