Maintenance Technician – BRG Apartments

Base pay range: $20.00/hr – $25.00/hr

Job Purpose: To assist the Community Manager or Supervisor in completing tasks that ensure the community meets appearance, operational, and safety standards as set forth by BRG Apartments, and federal, state, and local laws. This includes responding quickly and professionally to resident requests for service, troubleshooting, and taking appropriate corrective action.

• Plumbing: repair, replace or install faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water‑dispensing refrigerators, and washing machines
• Electrical: repair, replace or install power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, climate control systems, or garage door openers
• Drywall repair: fill holes caused by nails or minor damage, perform repairs when a tenant vacates a unit or a new renter moves in, and address larger holes from damage
• Painting: perform minor touch‑ups following damage repair and apply fresh coats of paint to unit walls between residents
• Appliance repair: repair, replace or install household appliances including refrigerators, dishwashers, range ovens, washers and dryers, hot water tanks, and air conditioners
• Preventative maintenance: service heating and air‑conditioning systems, plumbing fixtures, sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers
• Seasonal maintenance: manage swimming pool opening procedures, daily maintenance, and end‑of‑season close‑down procedures
• Health and safety maintenance: maintain sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and other safety equipment
• Install locks
• HVAC maintenance and repairs
• Participate in the on‑call rotation

• A minimum of 2‑3 years of prior maintenance experience
• EPA certification (required)
• Driver's license (required)
• Auto insurance (required)

• Full‑time, 8‑hour day shift
• Monday to Friday
• On‑call duties as needed
• In‑person work at BRG Apartments, Springfield, OH
