Class-A CDL Trainee

Core-Mark International is hiring Food and Food Service Delivery Drivers (Trainee Non‑CDL) to support America’s food distribution system. Our drivers ensure products arrive on time in good condition and represent the company to customers.

Food and food service delivery drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers!

• Successfully complete the Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program as required; ride‑with and assist the driver trainer in executing deliveries.
• Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer) in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Report all safety issues and repairs required; follow all DOT regulations and company safe‑driving guidelines.
• Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight, perform count checks of items, and verify customer invoices.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and legibly.
• Move tractor to the loading dock, attach preloaded trailer as needed, and drive to deliver customer orders according to the predetermined route schedule.
• Unload products, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and perform damage‑control checks.
• Collect money (cash or checks) where required; load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors.
• Complete necessary paperwork for damaged goods and customer returns; unload all equipment and remove trash from trailers as required.
• Record hours of service daily in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
• Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clear and clean.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–6 months driving experience (with distinctions for internal PFG candidates, external driver school hire, and external entry‑level hire).
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
• Pass pre‑employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand‑lift and utilize two‑wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight ranging from approximately 60 to 90 pounds.
