Join to apply for the Office Assistant 1 or 2 - Bilingual role at Lane County Government. The Office Assistant team is an integral part of our organization and is the center of organizing and running the daily operations of our practice.
• Assist with a variety of administrative tasks and duties including front desk or screening coverage, establishing new patients, routine outbound appointment scheduling, filing medical records, insurance verification, accurate cash handling and record keeping, data entry and verification of client demographic information.
• Function as a bilingual Customer Service Representative in a team setting to provide assistance to the Primary Care Teams by answering incoming calls and utilizing clinical tools to determine appropriate scheduling, tasking to clinical staff and sending information to triage.
• Support data entry of online scheduling as well as making outreach calls for special projects.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patient scheduling as well as the documentation and transmission of information to care teams and other clinical or administrative departments.
- Respond to incoming phone calls and voicemail messages from patients and community partners.
- Schedule patients appropriately using call center triage tools.
- Efficiently manage communications from patients, physicians, specialists, and insurance companies.
- Document pertinent information on tasks and emails that are sent to triage, care teams and other administrative staff.
- Establish and maintain solid working relationships through communication, cooperation and positive interactions with all patients, employees, staff and providers.
- Completion of twelfth grade or equivalent.
- One year of general clerical and office assistance experience.
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
- Completion of twelfth grade or equivalent.
- Two years of responsible clerical and office assistance experience.
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
- Successful hire will be contingent upon taking a bilingual test to demonstrate proficiency in both English and Spanish.
