Warehouse Operations Management Trainee

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Receive hands-on training and perform duties in every area of the distribution center including Operations, Management, and Purchasing.
• Observe experienced employees to learn methods, procedures, and standards for a successful sales center.
• Shadow contractors/builders, service/maintenance, and retail store customers to understand their roles in the swimming pool, irrigation, and landscaping business.
• Participate in classroom training sessions at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas, covering operations, financials, leadership, human capital management, and operating systems.
• Present a comprehensive report to senior management upon completion of the 6-month Operations MIT program.
• Perform other job duties and special operations projects as assigned.

The company is looking for:

• Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations, or related discipline with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Work experience in leadership or problem-solving roles, or involvement in relevant internships, organizations, volunteer work, athletics, or military leadership.
• Desire and ability to work in a distribution warehouse environment.
• Results-driven self-starter with strong leadership skills and ability to manage rapidly changing priorities.
• Motivated, passionate, and customer service driven attitude.
• Willingness and ability to relocate during and after the program (company-paid) for career development.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts and lift up to 75 pounds.

Preferred qualifications include bilingual English/Spanish skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office with ability to learn inventory systems and software.

The program provides 6 months of guidance, support, and resources to learn about the swimming pool supply, irrigation, and landscape distribution industry. Training includes hands-on experience and classroom sessions at the EDGEucation Center.

Upon completing the Management in Training - Operations program, graduates are eligible to apply for Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager roles nationwide.
