Project Engineer - Doors, Frames & Hardware

We're one of the largest and most respected interior and exterior specialty contractors in the U.S., in business since 1972. We self-perform drywall, framing, acoustical systems, fireproofing, claddings, painting, windows and doors/frames/hardware on major commercial projects, and a large share of our work comes from repeat customers. Our Springfield/Eugene, OR office is adding a Project Engineer focused on commercial doors, frames and hardware.

• $55,000 - $75,000 base, based on experience

What you'll do:

• Support the Project Manager with setup, management and closeout of projects from the office and jobsite
• Review contract language, scope of work and special provisions and keep the project team aligned
• Help with buyout and procurement of material, subcontractor and engineering quotes
• Prepare RFIs, submittals and shop drawings
• Visit jobsites and take part in project meetings
• Price change requests and keep budgets updated
• Prepare and report weekly production; review job cost reports with the Foreman
• Prepare billings, approve invoices, and track progress and spending against schedule and budget
• Coordinate warranties, O&M and project closeout
• Follow all safety plans and company policies

What you need:

• High school diploma
• Experience with commercial doors, frames and hardware preferred
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and multitask in a team setting
• Local to Springfield/Eugene, OR - this is an on-site role
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; background check and drug screen required
