Description:
The position involves providing care for floor patients only.
There is no management of ICU patients or rounding, as these responsibilities will be handled by intensivists.
The opening exists due to a need for additional support for 31 beds opened in October while recruiting for permanent positions.
The facility is an inpatient unit with approximately 350 beds.
No call is required.
Responsibilities include rounding, admissions, and cross-covering for nocturnists.
An intensivist team will handle all in-house codes, and the interventional radiology or intensivist group will manage procedural needs.
The patient demographic will consist solely of adults.
Average patient load includes 15 for rounders and 7 for admitters daily.
Required procedures are not applicable.
Candidates must be proficient in using the designated electronic medical record system.
The facility operates as a level 2 trauma center with a full range of subspecialty support available.
