Position Details:

  • Hourly Base Rate: $43.47 - $52.26
  • Shift: Varies
  • Hours Per Week: 40 hours/week plus Rotating Call
  • SEIU Local 49 represented position

Job Summary:

  • Under the supervision of the Diagnostic Imaging Director and interpreting physicians, performs MRI procedures according to established protocols.
  • Oversees MRI daily operations, quality control, care and maintenance of equipment as well as coordination of daily patient workflow.
  • Assists in program development, marketing services, staff training and orientation as well as policy and procedure implementation when requested.
  • Acts as clinical expert for department and ensures all MRI accreditation and equipment requirements are met.
  • Performs designated supervisory functions.

Educational/Licensing:

  • Current ARRT registry and Oregon State licensure.
  • Advanced registry in MRI and current BLS certification required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years MRI experience required, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Prior supervisory experience with MRI program development and supervision preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work efficiently, responsibly and in a team-oriented atmosphere with multiple work demands.
  • Previous experience in ACR accreditation preferred.
  • Complete working knowledge of MRI equipment, protocols and procedures as well as contrast administration.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and job-specific competencies.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal relations skills and high sensibility to the needs of others; including the ability to communicate with patients and their families, physicians, supervisors, peers, volunteers and other customers.
