Oregon Urology Institute has a Per diem, Ultrasound Tech (Ultrasonographer) opportunity available.
Oregon Urology Institute is one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies such as robotic surgery, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.
The Ultrasonographer is responsible for performing sonographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease as prescribed by a physician/APP including:
Positions patients for the proper view of the affected area; selects the appropriate scan images to be recorded.
Scrotal, renal/bladder, transvaginal, abdominal for prostate volume.
- Work is performed in designated ultrasound room. Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids.
- Requires sitting for prolonged periods of time and some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary for the operation of basic office equipment such as a computer, calculate, copier and telephone. May be required to lift up to 25 lbs. Requires the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Combination of walking, bending, reaching, lifting, transferring activities. Must be able to use correct body mechanics to assist patients appropriately. Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
Experience:
Minimum one or more years' experience and/or training with graduate sonographer.

This is a Per diem position. Pay is determined by image count. Oregon Urology Institute offers employees sick leave, EAP and an outstanding retirement.
